Sacramento Kings center Alex Len had a strong showing during his EuroBasket 2022 debut as Ukraine routed Great Britain with ease by a final of 90-61 on Friday morning in Milan, Italy.
Len finished the game with 13 points on five-of-seven shooting from the field to go along with six boards, one steal, and two blocked shots over 19 minutes of action. The seven-footer converted his lone three-point attempt during the opening moments of the first period to get Ukraine off and running early.
By the end of the third period, the game had been all but put away as Ukraine stretched its lead to 22 points.

Ukrainian NBA veteran forward Svi Mykhailiuk led all scorers with 17 points (five-of-11 from beyond the three-point arc) to add to his stat-line that also included five rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
Great Britain has been seen as one of the teams that will come out at the bottom of Ukraine’s Group C pool which also includes Croatia, Estonia, Greece, and the group’s host country, Italy. Nonetheless, Ukraine’s convincing victory has surely put other teams on notice as games will continue to unfold over the coming weekend.
Len and Ukraine will next face Estonia on Saturday morning (8:00 am PST) as they look to open up pool play with a perfect 2-0 record.
Brown In The House
Sacramento Kings head coach Mike Brown was in attendance to watch Len’s performance against Great Britain.
The 52-year-old has been very involved with the team’s offseason, spending time with the Summer League team in both San Francisco and Las Vegas during play in July, and now the head coach is taking in some of his players’ international play.
