Maxime Raynaud had a rookie season for the Sacramento Kings that was impressive enough to those around the league for him to earn a spot on the 2025-26 All-Rookie Team.
Prior to Wednesday’s continuation of the Conference Finals, the NBC broadcast announced the first and second teams.
The first team consisted of Cooper Flagg (Dallas), Kon Knueppel (Charlotte), VJ Edgecombe (Philadelphia), Dylan Harper (San Antonio), and Cedric Coward (Memphis).
Maxime Raynaud was named to the second team along with Ace Bailey (Utah), Jeremiah Fears (New Orleans), Collin Murray-Boyles (Toronto), and Derik Queen (New Orleans).
The Sacramento big man was the lowest pick among that list of names by far, going 42nd overall. Not only was he the only second-rounder, but he was also the only non-lottery pick to make either team.

More on Maxime Raynaud
Raynaud started in 56 of his 74 games played for the Kings last season, averaging 12.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists while shooting 57.1% from the field in 26.5 minutes.
Amongst other rookies, he placed 8th in points and second in rebounds, only trailing his teammate and fellow 2025 NBA Draft classmate Dylan Cardwell. Despite having an impressive season in his own right after going undrafted out of Auburn, Cardwell did not receive any votes.
Raynaud narrowly missed on first-team honors, receiving 26 first-team votes and 58 second-team votes, totaling 110 points via voters. Flagg (200 points), Knueppel (200), and Edgecombe (200) were the only three unanimous first-teamers, while Harper (193) didn’t trail far behind. Coward (125) got three more first-team votes than Raynaud and 67 second-round votes, totaling to 15 more points than the Kings’ big man.
While an impressive rookie campaign is an encouraging start for the seven-footer, Sacramento will look for him to continue trending upwards as they hope to improve from a lowly 22-60 season.
