I guess it doesn’t matter that Dave Joerger coached the Kings to their best season in over a decade, as according to multiple reports Sacramento general manager Vlade Divac will fire Joerger today.
Kings GM Vlade Divac is planning to fire coach Dave Joerger in a face-to-face meeting today, league sources tell ESPN.

Can confirm @wojespn report that Kings GM Vlade Divac will fire coach Dave Joerger today. Lakers coach Luke Walton – if available – is the clear frontrunner here, per sources. Former New Orleans coach Monty Williams is also a strong candidate, as is Spurs asst. Ettore Messina.

The Kings already have multiple targets in mind to replace Joerger as head coach, including current Los Angeles Lakers head coach Luke Walton.
In a matter of hours, Divac received a contract extension and Joerger, along with assistant general manager Brandon Williams, are being fired. Welcome to the NBA offseason.
