Frankie Cartoscelli and Brenden Nunes attempt to break down the Sacramento Kings’ confusing home and road splits in the latest episode of the Return of the Roar podcast. They also discuss the recent struggles of Kevin Huerter, Keegan Murray, Harrison Barnes, and plenty more.

Sunday night’s 112-104 home loss to the Houston Rockets added to Sacramento’s list of disappointing home losses to non-playoff opponents. In Golden 1 Center, the Kings have also fallen to the Detroit Pistons, Charlotte Hornets, Portland Trail Blazers, Indiana Pacers (without Tyrese Haliburton or Pascal Siakam), Miami Heat (without Jimmy Butler), and the Chicago Bulls (without Zach LaVine) to name a few of the stinkers.

On this episode of the Return of the Roar podcast, Frankie and Brenden try to make sense of Sacramento’s 17-12 home record, which ranks just fourth in home wins among the Western Conference. The only West teams with fewer home wins than the Kings are the Memphis Grizzlies, Portland Trail Blazers, and San Antonio Spurs—the bottom three seeded rosters.

As the conversation continued, they discussed Huerter, Barnes, and Murray’s recent underwhelming play and what could be leading to their struggles.

Also, Mike Brown has been getting questioned by Kings’ fans on social media, so the duo discussed that in this Return of the Roar episode. There was plenty of other good conversation throughout the episode, so be sure to tune in and share your opinions in the comments!

When is the next Sacramento Kings game?

Sacramento will continue its six-game homestand on Tuesday night when they face off against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Kings nearly defeated the Bucks on their home floor during an overtime thriller on January 14th that ended with Damian Lillard’s heart-breaking triple at the buzzer. Sacramento held a four-point lead with less than 20 seconds to go, but couldn’t hold off a late charge from Milwaukee.

Be sure to tune in right here on Sactown Sports 1140 for all of your Kings vs. Bucks coverage, beginning at 5:30 PM PST on Game Night before a 7:00 PM PST tip-off from downtown Sacramento.
