Richaun Holmes wants Kings fans to know that he appreciated all of their support, both on and off the court, when he played in Sacramento.

On Friday, the former Kings center took to his social media to thank the fans of Sacramento as he continues his NBA career in another city.

On draft night, Holmes’ tenure in Sacramento came to a close when the Kings traded him and the draft rights to the 24th selection of the 2023 NBA Draft, Olivier-Maxence Prosper, to Dallas in exchange for cash considerations.

Sacramento! What can I say other than I love you. The support you showed me from day one is truly remarkable, and when going through some of the toughest times of my life, you guys helped keep my head up. I appreciate every second of representing you; thank you for rocking with 22 love y’all forever!

In four seasons with the Kings, Richaun Holmes averaged 10.4 points, 1.1 blocks, and 6.6 rebounds. However, once Sacramento acquired center Domantas Sabonis, Holmes fell out of Mike Brown’s rotation, only averaging 3.1 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in 42 games last season.

His best year with the Kings came in 2020-21 when he averaged 14.2 points and 8.3 rebounds. After that season, he signed a four-year contract extension with Sacramento.
