A big win over Los Angeles helped the Sacramento Kings move up a spot in the Western Conference standings.
When the Kings (44-31) beat the fourth-seed Clippers, it helped them in a few ways in the Western Conference standings. First, the win moved them back to the seventh seed in the standings, swapping spots with the now-eighth-seed Suns (44-31). Phoenix did not play Tuesday night, however, they face the Cleveland Cavaliers Wednesday evening.
Sacramento currently holds the tie-breaker over Phoenix.
Thanks to the Dallas Mavericks’ loss to the Golden State Warriors, the Kings are now just one game behind the fifth-seed Mavs and sixth-seed New Orleans Pelicans with seven games remaining.
When is the next Sacramento Kings game?
Sacramento will travel to the East Coast for a four-game trip that begins on Thursday night against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
The Kings and Knicks battled it out at Golden 1 Center on March 16th, with New York doing enough to scrape out a 98-91 win in a game that saw Sacramento nearly post a season-low in field goal percentage (35%) while also struggling from deep (27%).
