The NBA returned this week, with all but two teams, the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers, kicking off the 2022-23 season.

Both the Clippers and Bucks open their seasons on Thursday night.

The Athletic‘s Sam Amick joined The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross on Thursday morning to share his thoughts on the Kings’ loss and discuss other stories surrounding the first week of NBA games.

Topics discussed include:

  • This Mike Brown experience will not be like when he coached the Los Angeles Lakers
  • If Kawhi Leonard plays against the King on Saturday or will he rest the first night of a back-to-back as the Clippers play the Suns on Sunday?
  • Why there’s more national attention on the Kings this season
  • Will the Utah Jazz be better than people expect?
  • Can fans expect a large group of teams to try to tank for Victor Wembanyama?
  • Sam explains why the Lakers extended Rob Pelinka as general manager
  • Do the Warriors have a strong chance of repeating?
