Sean Cunningham, sports reporter and producer for FOX40, joined “The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross” to preview Tuesday night’s NBA play-in game between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors.

After a lengthy, compliment-filled introduction, the guys broke down how the regular season has played out between the two teams and what that means for Tuesday night. In the four-game regular season series, three games were won by one point. The Kings and Warriors ended up splitting the series.

Even with no Malik Monk and no Kevin Huerter, Sean explains why he likes the Kings in a one-game scenario.

“It’s just crazy enough and if you think about the theme of the season alone, it would be so Kings to beat your nemesis in a play-in game when it really isn’t a playoff series anyway and their fans and their media will tell you, even if it happens ‘well you didn’t really do anything, it doesn’t really mean anything’ but in the heads of this Kings team and franchise and this fanbase, it will do something. They’ll look at it as this tremendous accomplishment,” Sean said.

Additional topics discussed include:

  • If he would end his life six months early for a Sacramento Kings championship
  • What the atmosphere will be like at Golden 1 Center on Tuesday night
  • How do Mike Brown and the Kings upset the Warriors?
  • Were the Warriors the better team in last year’s playoff series?
  • Does Domantas Sabonis have the most pressure in Tuesday’s game?
  • What’s the best and worst-case ending for the Kings and Warriors?
  • How big of a loss will Jordi Fernandez be to the Sacramento Kings next season?
