After much debate, it seems the 49ers will be getting star left tackle Trent Williams back on the field Sunday.

The San Francisco 49ers have officially made the offensive lineman active for Week 10 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. This is the first time Williams will feature for the 49ers since suffering a sprained ankle Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns.

While the injury was revealed to be a low-grade ailment, the player struggled to get back on the field due to previous injury history. Despite coming off a bye week, his appearance in Week 10 came down to the wire, not 100% by any means.

But in the end, Williams wanted to be out their with his team, as reports trickled in Saturday night of him doing so.

Trent Williams, 35, returned to practice for the Red & Gold Thursday, doing so in limited fashion. He followed that up with a limited session during Friday’s walkthrough. But after two days of work, the 49ers were still unsure he could go, wanting to wait until gameday to make the call.

“I think he’s real questionable to be playing. That’s what my eyes see,” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said Friday about Trent Williams and the possibility of him playing. “We got tomorrow. Tomorrow is Saturday. If it’s no tomorrow, then we’ll wait until game time.”

The Texas native must have gotten through the air travel with minimal swelling to his ankle, allowing him to suit up for Week 10.

Additionally, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave will play Sunday. H had ben listed as. questionable after a knee injury flared up during Thursday practice.
