On Friday afternoon, the Sacramento Kings announced that Anjali Ranadivé has stepped down as General Manager of their G-League affiliate, the Stockton Kings.

Anjali Ranadivé, daughter of Sacramento owner Vivek Ranadive, was promoted to General Manager in June 2023.

According to the press release, she plans “to pursue a Ph.D. and focus her attention on her nonprofit Jaws and Paws. Stockton Kings Assistant General Manager Gabriel Harris will resume day-to-day responsibilities.”

“We are grateful to Anjali for her contributions to the Stockton Kings over the past two seasons,” said Kings General Manager Monte McNair. “Under her leadership the team has excelled on the court and is set for success in the future.”

“I am incredibly thankful to Monte, Lindsey and Paul for the tremendous opportunity,” said Anjali Ranadivé. “I would also like to thank our loyal fans and everyone at the Kings organization for their support.”

Additionally, Stockton Kings Assistant General Manager Gabriel Harris will resume day-to-day responsibilities.

After recording a 5-11 record in the G-League Showcase, Stockton is off to a hot start in the 2023-24 regular season. Their 8-2 record is largely thanks to their successful offense behind head coach Lindsey Harding and an impressive roster that Anjali Ranadivé aided in assembling.

They have an atypical slew of former NBA players: Jaylen Nowell, Skal Labissiere, Mason Jones, Jeremy Lamb, Stanley Johnson, Deonte Burton, and Shabazz Muhammad. Alongside them have been two-way players Jordan Ford and Jalen Slawson, while rookie Colby Jones has also played five games.

Upcoming Schedule

  • Saturday, January 20th – Stockton Kings @ G League Ignite – 2:00 PM PST
  • Monday, January 22nd – Stockton Kings @ South Bay Lakers – 7:00 PM PST
  • Saturday, January 27th – Stockton Kings vs Oklahoma City Blue – 6:00 PM PST
  • Friday, February 2nd – Stockton Kings @ Austin Spurs – 5:00 PM PST
