There haven’t been a lot of national media personalities who have stood up for the Sacramento Kings this season. Charles Barkley, though, has been in the Kings’ corner.

And he planted his flag strongly Thursday night.

On the NBA on TNT’s tip-off show, Chuck said he was tired of the slander against the Sacramento Kings and the Denver Nuggets. He then proclaimed both teams will win a playoff series.

Later in the show, the Chuckster doubled down on his proclamation, guaranteeing the Sacramento Kings would win a playoff series against potential opponents the Los Angeles Lakers or Golden State Warriors.

“They’re going to be playing the [Golden State] Warriors or the [Los Angeles] Lakers, that’s a tough first-round series. They gon’ win a series,” Barkley said, before also guaranteeing the Nuggets would get to the NBA Western Conference Finals.

For the first time since 2006, the Kings are in the playoffs. What’s even more impressive, they’re doing so with home-court advantage as the three-seed and the Pacific Division champions. While they’re secure in their playoff spot, it’s still unknown who their opponent will be.
