The NBA announced on Monday that Sacramento Kings forward Harrison Barnes has been named as one of the six finalists for the NBA Sportsmanship Award.

Barnes, who is in his fifth season with the Kings, has been a leader on the floor and in the locker room during his time in Sacramento. The 11-year veteran is widely viewed as one of the best team players in the NBA, and the league has recognized the 30-year-old for that reputation.

It’s been a special week for Barnes, who was also recently nominated for the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award, which includes 12 players that have been recognized for their on-and-off-court leadership, selfless play, and commitment and dedication to learn.

The NBA Sportsmanship Award recognizes “the player who best represents the ideals of sportsmanship on the court,” per the league. Current NBA players will select the winner from the six finalists–one from each division.

Barnes would become the first Sacramento King to win the award if selected.
