If there was any question that De’Aaron Fox was built for NBA Playoff basketball, the Sacramento Kings guard silenced those doubters over the past couple of weeks.
Fox scored 192 points during Sacramento’s seven-game series against the Golden State Warriors–the second-highest-scoring playoff series debut in NBA history.
Only LeBron James’ 214-point series debut back in 2006 against the Washington Wizards has topped Fox’s impressive introduction to the NBA Playoffs.

Fox put on a show in his postseason debut during Game 1 back on April 15th, scoring 38 points on 13-of-27 shooting and four-of-eight from three-point range during a 126-123 win at Golden 1 Center.
The 38-point performance was the second-highest scoring playoff debut in NBA history, only trailing Luka Doncic’s 42-point debut back in 2020.
During the seven-game series with Golden State, Fox averaged 27.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 7.7 assists per game while shooting 42 percent from the field and 33 percent from beyond the three-point line.
Although the Kings lost to the Warriors in seven games, it’s now a known fact that De’Aaron Fox is built for the NBA Playoffs.
