Furman head coach Bob Richey joined Ramie & Jay Johnson Friday to discuss his former player, Jalen Slawson. They discussed the player’s best traits heading into the NBA, and how he will mesh with the rest of the Kings. Plus, could he be a starter in the league one day?
“I think he’s going to be kind of a Draymond [Green] prototype,” Richey told the guys Friday. “Somebody that can really play both the four or five [positions], eventually even play the three. He’s got the ability to make decisions, his ability to dribble at [defenders], his ability to make plays with the ball in his hands and make the right decisions with it is really unique.”
Topics discussed include:
- Bob’s thoughts on Jalen Slawson getting drafted to the Kings
- What makes Jalen so impressive defensively?
- What is Jalen’s best position?
- Who is Slawson’s best NBA comparison?
- Will teams be regretting not taking Slawson in the second round?
- Are there areas he needs to improve on?
- What kind of personality is Slawson bringing to Sacramento?
