Head coach Mike Brown of the Sacramento Kings celebrates a 176-175 double overtime win over the LA Clippers with Malik Monk #0 and De'Aaron Fox #5 at Crypto.com Arena on February 24, 2023 in Los Angeles, California.

Jorge Sedano, NBA reporter for ESPN, joined Sactown Sports Wednesday to talk about the latest news surrounding Damian Lillard and the rest of NBA free agency. Plus, how can the Sacramento Kings take that next step toward title contention?

All that & more on Sactown Sports.

“I think they’re building something. And can they be a thorn in peoples’ sides this year? Absolutely,” Sedano said on Wednesday. “Again, to me, it’s about building those habit, taking that next step. You got a taste of the playoffs last year, for the first time in many, many years, as we all know. Now, can you build upon that or are you gonna rest on your laurels? That to me, is less so on Mike Brown, and more so on the players in the locker room. Are they satisfied with what they accomplished last year? Or, are they willing to put in the work to get even better? And if they’re willing to get better, then why can’t they be in the mix in a tough Western Conference?”

Topics discussed include:

  • How did Jorge get Gregg Popovich to smile in an interview?
  • Have the Houston Rockets made good moves this offseason?
  • Is Damian Lillard to the Heat a sure thing?
  • Jorge’s thoughts on the Kings free agency moves
  • How good of a job has Mike Brown done in Sacramento thus far?
  • How far can the Kings go next season?
