It looks like Jimmy Garoppolo is returning to the NFC West.
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Peter Schrager, the former Raiders and 49ers quarterback has signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams. The terms of the deal were not immediately known.
He was released by the Raiders just after the new league year began.
Garoppolo spent six years in the NFC West with San Francisco, going 8-0 against his new team and leading the Niners to two NFC Championship games. In 10 seasons with the 49ers, Raiders and New England Patriots, the 32-year-old QB has thrown for 15,494 yards, 94 touchdowns and 51 interceptions.

Jimmy Garoppolo started six games for the Raiders last season before being replaced by rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell in Week 9. Over seven appearances (six starts) with Las Vegas, Garoppolo threw for 1,205 yards and seven touchdowns, but also racked up nine interceptions. His 172.1 yards per game average was the lowest of his NFL career (minimum seven games played).
Garoppolo will miss the first two games of the 2024 season after the NFL suspended him due to violating the league’s Performance Enhancing Drug Policy.
