How special is Victor Wembanyama? Sean Elliott is amazed at how well he’s transitioned to the NBA in Year 1.
San Antonio Spurs TV Analyst Sean Elliott joined The Drive Guys Thursday to talk about how the upcoming matchup between the Spurs and the Sacramento Kings. They also discussed the rise of Wembanayama, and how he’s adjusted to the NBA lifestyle. Sean also gives his thoughts on the Kings’ 2023 season and the job of coach Mike Brown.

“It’s been pretty remarkable,” Elliot said Thursday. “I mean, how many rookies are coming over at 19 years old, just turned 20 in early January, come over at 19 years old to an entirely different country? He speaks English extremely well and he’s just got a great attitude. He’s the kind of kid that when you talk to him, he’s fearless. He lives in the moment. So, I don’t think he’s really intimidated by coming to a different country, playing at the highest level in the world. He sees it’s more like a challenge. It’s something that he’s embracing.”
