It went up to the wire of the 2023 league year, but the 49ers and Kyle Juszczyk got it done in the end.
Reports surfaced Wednesday morning that the San Francisco 49ers and their Pro Bowl fullback had come to terms on a restructured deal to remain in The Bay. The new deal reportedly will save the 49ers $1.75 million on the 2024 salary cap. Additionally, Juszczyk will remain the highest-paid FB in the NFL.
A win-win for all parties involved.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter was first with the news. The player’s agency, JL Sports, confirmed the news thereafter.

Kyle Juszczyk, 32, has spent the last seven years with the 49ers, coming over in free agency from the Baltimore Ravens in 2017. The standout FB has become a fan-favorite in The Bay, with his nickname “Juice” echoing throughout the region on game day. While his numbers never pop, his impact for the 49ers, on and off the field, is apparent on a daily basis.
The Harvard alum has made eight Pro Bowls in his career, now set to make another strong case for it in 2024. He made his first All-Pro team last season.
Juszczyk’s family has also been an emerging topic in the NFL, with his wife, Kristin, making waves with her custom game-day designs. She signed a deal with the NFL earlier this year.
